Dust USA previewed four new products for Paolo Parente’s Dust 1947 at Gen Con last week, and has made the new titles available to retailers before their official release date.
The four releases will include a new playable faction—the Popular Liberation Army, representing China as part of the SSU—as well as a new campaign book and new models:
The core of the new faction is the Popular Liberation Army Starter Set, which will be the first Starter Set in the company’s new format. This boxed set will include two heroes that can be used separately or together, as well as a squad of infantry and a light anti-tank walker.
The new army can be joined by Commissar Poon Hay-Wing, available separately.
The deserts of Babylon are the setting for the new Operation Kondor campaign book, which centers around the efforts by the Luftwaffe in that region. The book includes short stories written by Andy Chambers, as well as a history of the conflict, new rules for Luftwaffe forces, scenarios, and rules. The kit also comes with tokens, templates, and a poster.
Designed for desert fighting, the Desert Scorpion Transport/Command/Gun Truck kit features a Dodge 4 x 4 truck that can be configured in three different ways. The kit includes game stats and rules for all three versions.
See the Gallery below for images of the new models.
Dust USA took over distribution of the Dust line, which has had a rocky history with U.S. partners, earlier this year (see "'Dust' Invades U.S. Again").
