The second “Force Friday” retail push has arrived with another prominent Fantasy Flight Games release.  This time it’s the Star Wars:  Destiny Two-Player Game, a new jumping-in point for the company’s collectible card and dice game.

The Star Wars:  Destiny Two-Player Game will feature a combination of new and re-released material for Star Wars:  Destiny, including new versions of four of the main characters from the upcoming film:  Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, and Rey.  Altogether, the game will come with 46 cards in two decks as well as the dice and tokens needed for two players to play the game.

The new set can be played on its own or combined with other Star Wars:  Destiny sets, including Awakenings, Spirit of Rebellion, and Empire at War.  The game is available now, and has an MSRP of $29.99.

See the gallery below for a sneak peek at some of the cards and dice included in the game.

“Force Friday II” is, of course, Lucasfilm’s big retail push to promote licensed products that will support its upcoming film, Star Wars:  The Last Jedi.  The push this year features an augmented-reality treasure hunt that will run through the entire weekend, as well as big events at major retailers across the country (see “Lucasfilm Augmenting Force Friday”).

Fantasy Flight supported the first “Force Friday” event by launching a new core set for X-Wing at mass market retailers before releasing it into normal trade channels (see “‘Star Wars:  X-Wing--The Force Awakens Core Set’”).

Star Wars:  Destiny has been a big hit for FFG, Force-leaping up to the #4 slot on ICv2’s most recent list of top-selling collectible games (see “Top Collectible Games--Spring 2017”).
