The Witchblade comic book series debuted from Top Cow Productions in 1995 and ran through late 2015. The Witchblade is a mystical weapon that chooses women as hosts, imbuing them with colossal powers. The comic has spawned TV series, anime, and manga adaptations. A new Witchblade TV series was reportedly in development earlier this year (see “New 'Witchblade' TV Series”).
