Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett has signed a co-publishing and distribution deal with Joe Books.

Under the deal with Bennett’s Imagination Agency, Joe Books will distribute Bennett’s work, including his debut comic Towel Boy, in the U.S. and Canada. In the quirky comic, Buzz is dead set on being part of the football team, even if that means becoming a towel boy. Drawn by Obi Ariskuwu, four issues will be released over the course of the NFL season, with a commemorative issue released in conjunction with the Super Bowl.

This is the latest high-profile alliance for Joe Books. Earlier this year, the company established a partnership with Lucasfilm to make Cinestory adaptations of Star Wars: Episode IV and the animated TV show Star Wars: Rebels (see “Joe Books to Adapt 'Star Wars: A New Hope'”).
