New York Comic Con News: At the Diamond Retailer breakfast Marvel revealed the creative teams for the new Rogue & Gambit and Legion titles that will debut in January as part of the publisher’s X-Men lineup. Peter Milligan appears to be an excellent choice to write the new Legion comic series, which will feature art by Wilfredo Torres, and should gain some traction from the Fox TV series, which has made David Haller a much bigger player in Marvel’s mutant universe. Don’t be surprise if the new Legion series reflects the influence of the TV series in an attempt to attract fans of the TV series, which has attracted plenty of positive critical attention.
While Legion appears to be an on-going series (though that is not yet confirmed), Rogue & Gambit, according to the Beat (the only journalistic entity at the retailer breakfast), will be a five-issue miniseries written by Kelly Thompson with art by Pere Perez and covers by Kris Anka. While both Rogue and Gambit have had solo titles in the past, and have also co-starred with others, this is their first team-up series.
