One of the most influential graphic novels of all time, A Contract With God was originally released in 1978. The volume, which collects four stories about the inhabitants of a tenement in New York City, helped establish Eisner’s legacy and it increased respect for and interest in book-length comics.

A Contract With God Curator’s Collection is a deluxe two-volume hardcover slipcased set. Reproduced from original art at 1:1 size, one volume consists of Eisner’s unpublished pencil layouts. The second volume contains the finished inked pages. The 400-page box set will be on sale March 28 in two versions. The regular version has an MSRP of $195.00. The limited edition, which is limited to 125 copies and includes a tip-in sheet from Eisner’s archives and a variant slipcase, has an MSRP of $295.00.
