Renegade Game Studios will release Emanuele Ornella’s auction / set collection game Byzanz to North American distribution in Q1.
Ornella’s Byzanz was published in Europe in 2008, and will now be released in North America with a new cover box by Doris Matthaus. Players take the roles of merchants participating in auctions at the Byzantine Market. The goal is to collect a set of three identical goods, and then sells them for a profit in the market.
The box includes 96 goods cards (16 of each of the 6 different types), 16 merchant cards, 6 bidder cards, 1 Byzantine market board, and a rulebook. The game is for 3 – 6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 45 minutes. MSRP is $20.00.
Renegade also recently announced plans to publish the botanical game Topiary (see "Tend the Best Shrubbery in 'Topiary'").
