Coliseum of Comics, which describes itself as the largest comic and game retailer in the Southeast, has acquired two stores in the Jacksonville area, Superhero Hive and Superhero Beach, bringing the total number of stores in the chain to nine. Coliseum of Comics will retain the staffs of both stores, company President Phil Boyle said in the statement announcing the acquisition. The two Jacksonville-area stores will be renamed to Coliseum of Comics.
Coliseum of Comics is based in Orlando. The two Jacksonville-area stores join seven stores in central Florida, including locations in Orlando and Tampa.
