Modiphius used Kickstarter to fund the role playing game based on Robert E. Howard’s savage pulp adventure hero Conan in 2016 (see “'Conan' Crushes Kickstarter”). Earlier this year, PDF versions were made available, and the Conan RPG Core Rulebook and Conan: Player’s Guide were released. The Kickstarter funded multiple supplements (see “Modiphius Adds More 'Conan' Books”), which will begin releasing to U.S. trade in December or January.
Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of – Conan the Thief is a 135-page, full color softcover sourcebook that includes new archetypes, talents and equipment; a gazetteer detailing the cities of Zamora, Shadizar, and other places thieves prosper; and a guide to running thief games, guilds, and heists. MSRP is $24.99.
Conan: Conan the Mercenary is a 118-page, full-color, hardcover sourcebook which details the adventures of the sell-sword life. There are new archetypes, talents, and equipment, allowing players to create their own mercenary characters and companies; a new system for mass battles; and write-ups of Conan’s allies and foes. There is also a gazetteer detailing the regions of Koth, Ophir, Shem, and Khoraja, where rulers hire mercenaries to help turn the tide of battle. MSRP is $19.99.
Conan: The Book of Skelos is a sourcebook detailing the mysteries of sorcery in Conan’s world, including rules and guidelines for handling character sorcerers and non-player sorcerers; sorcerous archetypes, skills and techniques for different schools of magic; and a history of sorcery from the dawn of time through the Hyborian Age. MSRP was not announced.
All sourcebooks require the Conan RPG Core Rulebook to use.
