Green Ronin Publishing is offering players a simpler entry point for its Mutants & Masterminds superhero role playing game with the release of the Basic Hero’s Handbook in May.

Offering a streamlined and clarified character creation system as well as pre-made adventures, the Mutants & Masterminds:  Basic Hero’s Handbook is designed to help new players get up to speed on the third edition version of the long-running superhero game, as well as serving as a handy rules reference during play.  It was written by Steve Kenson, and is fully compatible with all other third edition Mutants & Masterminds books.

The Basic Hero’s Handbook will be a 128-page, full color, hardcover book.  MSRP is $29.95.

Green Ronin will also release a card game based on the Mutants & Masterminds game setting that uses the Sentinels of the Multiverse system next May (see “‘Sentinels of Earth-Prime’ Launches”).
