The affordable volume collects issues #1-4, and short stories from the Dark Horse Book of Hauntings, the Dark Horse Book of Witchcraft, the Dark Horse Book of the Dead, and the Dark Horse Book of Monsters, “Stray,” “Unfamiliar,” “Let Sleeping Dogs Lie,” and “A Dog and His Boy.” This is the first time the collection has been offered in paperback.
The Dark Horse series earned Dorkin and Thompson the coveted Eisner Awards for “Best Short Story” and “Best Painter” (see “2010 Eisner Award Winners”) and has been optioned for the big screen (see “Evan Dorkin’s and Jill Thompson’s Beasts of Burden”).
