Steve Jackson Games has announced the first expansion set for its new Munchkin Collectible Card Game:  The Desolation of Blarg will release this May.

The Desolation of Blarg adds 124 new cards to the tongue-in-check card game, featuring new original artwork by Lar DeSouza, Mia Goodwin, Edwin Huang, Mike Luckas, Len Peralta, Tom Siddell, and Lee Simpson.  The expansion will be presented in 12-card booster packs, each pack containing one rare or higher card.  Booster packs come in 24-pack display boxes.  MSRP is $3.95 a pack.

The Munchkin CCG will release in February, supported by a pair of organized play events in March and April (see “First Two ‘Munchkin CCG’ OP Events Announced”).  The initial release will include three different 82-card starter decks and 12-card booster packs, with a total of 304 cards in the initial set.  The second expansion set, Fashion Furious, will contain 124 cards as well, and is scheduled for an August release.
