IDW Publishing's Black Crown imprint will release a new printing of Femme Magnifique.  The softcover edition of the anthology from curators Shelly Bond and Hi-Fi Colour Design’s Kristy and Brian Miller will be in stores in September 4.  The new edition includes new bonus material, such as a forward and behind-the-scenes process pages.

Femme Magnifique profiles 50 women from the world of music, art, politics, and science. The project raised nearly $100,000, or 240% of the initial goal, on Kickstarter in early 2017.  Cecil Castellucci, Marguerite Bennett, Bill Sienkiewicz, Jen Bartel, Mike Carey, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Tini Howard, Elsa Charretier, Tess Fowler, Rafael Albuquerque, Tee Franklin, Gilbert Hernandez, Ming Doyle, Matt Wagner, Jim Rugg, Gail Simone, Mags Visaggio, Marguerite Sauvage, Gerard Way, Philip Bond, Hope Nicholson, Sanford Greene, Sonny Liew, Jen Hickman, Mark Buckingham, Peter Gross, Tyler Crook, Dan Parent, and Kieron Gillen are just a few of the more than 100 creators who contributed three-page short stories to the anthology. Kate Bush, Octavia Butler, Rumiko Takahashi, Ada Lovelace, Misty Copeland, Margaret Sanger, Michelle Obama, Ursula K. Le Guin, Sally Ride, and Harriet Tubman are among the women featured in the volume.

Bond heads Black Crown, the imprint she started when she joined IDW last year as Senior Editor, Special Projects (see "Shelly Bond Joins IDW").
