Green Ronin Publishing was sharing plans for some new titles in the works for 2018 at the GAMA Trade Show, and was kind enough to give ICv2 some details on The World of Lazarus, the Modern AGE Basic Rulebook, Mutants & Masterminds: Rogues Gallery, and Aldis: City of the Blue Rose.

Green Ronin announced a deal last year to publish a role playing game based on Greg Rucka’s dystopic comic book series Lazarus (see “Greg Rucka’s ‘Lazarus’ Converted to RPG”).  The game is now on track to release in May as The World of Lazarus, a 144-page full-color hardcover campaign setting book for Green Ronin’s Modern AGE role playing system.  The book will include background material about the setting, as well as rules for playing members of the Families, loyal Serfs, or dispossessed Waste.  MSRP is $34.95.  Note that players will also need a copy of Modern AGE to use all of the material in this book.

Modern AGE itself will also launch in May with the Modern AGE Basic Rulebook.  Built around Green Ronin’s award-winning Adventure Game Engine (also used in Dragon Age, Fantasy AGE, and Blue Rose), this book includes rules and guidelines for running adventures set at any point during the modern era, from the Industrial Revolution to the near future.  Also included are stunts, psychic powers, and magic spells, as well as a complete introductory adventure.  MSRP is $34.95.

Rounding out Green Ronin’s May releases will be the Rogues Gallery.  This 160-page full-color hardcover book is a compilation of material from Green Ronin’s online series of NPC villains designed for the Mutants & Masterminds system, along with new material and all-new characters never presented to the public before.  The book includes profiles for a variety of solo villains and villain teams suitable for any power level.  MSRP is $34.95.

In June, the company plans to release Aldis:  City of the Blue Rose for the Blue Rose role playing game, which targets women as its primary audience (see “Green Ronin’s Blue Rose”).  This book goes into detail about the capital city of the Blue Rose setting, exploring the plots of the city’s nobles, the various wards of the city, prominent citizens and sites, and the city’s history.  The book also offers players new Specializations, Talents, and Arcana for their game.  MSRP is $32.95.

Green Ronin is also developing a role playing game based on The Expanse series of novels written by James S.A. Corey (see “James S. A. Corey’s ‘The Expanse’ Gets RPG Adaptation”).
