American Mythology Productions has announced #1s for classic pop culture characters and a new horror line for June.

Casper’s Ghostland #1 celebrates the 100th issue anniversary of the Harvey classic. Eric Shanower (Adventures in Oz, Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland) will illustrate the new adventures of the Friendly Ghost and friends. Pat Shand (Adventure TimeDisney Princess) and Mike Wolfer (Pink Panther: Cartoon Hour Special) write the family-friendly tales. The first issue features covers by Shanower, Buz Hasson (Underdog) and Ken Haeser (Grumpy Cat), and Bill Galvan (ArchieSimpsons Comics), as well as a sketch variant.

The Three Stooges: Matinee Madness #1 kicks of a new round of hijinks for Larry, Moe, and Curly. The first issue includes two greyscale escapades, one from Mike Wolfer and Shanower and the other from Adrian Ropp (Pink Panther) and James Kuhoric (Army of Darkness). The release features a cover by Shanower, a color photo variant, and a black-and-white, 350-copy limited edition variant.

The publisher will kick off “Fear on Four Worlds,” an epic crossover among the various creations of Edgar Rice Burroughs with Carson of Venus #1, a one-shot due in June. In the ensuing months, American Mythology will release Moon Maid #1, Pellucidar #1, and The Land That Time Forgot #1.

American Mythology’s new horror line, Drive-In Frights, will kick off with Beast Hunter X, written by Mike Wolfer (Lady DeathFriday the 13th) and illustrated by Demi Mandir (Supernatural Agents). In the series, vampires, werewolves, and other monsters of yore face a new threat: super-charged beasts that are even more dangerous! The first issue, out in June, has a cover by Richard Bonk (Grimm Fairy Tales: Return to Wonderland) and a limited edition variant by Mandir.

American Mythology has the rights to publish comics based on the Three Stooges (see “New ‘The Three Stooges’ Comics”), the work of Edgar Rice Burroughs (see “Comic Sequel to 'The Land That Time Forgot'”), Stargate: Atlantis (see “'Stargate: Atlantis' Returns to Comics”), and more.
