Avengers: Infinity War is outpacing that last seven MCU films -- combined -- in advance tickets sales at Fandango.

Infinity War has supplanted previous record holder Black Panther, which went on the dominate the box office for five weeks running (see “Just the 3rd Film in 19 Years to Win 5 in a Row”), has become the top ranked superhero film (unadjusted; see “'Pacific Rim: Uprising' Tops Weak Box Office”), and is trailing only Avatar and Star Wars: The Force Awakens as one of the top money-makers of all time (see “'A Quiet Place' Silences The Competition”).

Fangando reports that Infinity War presales are outpacing Black Panther two-to-one according to The Hollywood Reporter. It has also become the top April preseller (an achievement that was unlocked on March 27). Industry tracking services now anticipate a domestic opening weekend take north of $200 million. In comparison, Black Panther took in $202 million and the first Avengers outing took in around $207 million.

The Avengers and the rest of Earth’s mightiest heroes will assemble in an onscreen battle against Thanos and pals on April 27 (see “New 'Avengers: Infinity War' Posters”).
