USAopoly’s Project Raygun imprint will release Court of the Dead: Mourners Call in early 2019. The game is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.

Court of the Dead: Mourners Call is a board game set in Sideshow Collectibles’ original dark fantasy horror universe that is supported by a high-end collectible line. USAopoly shared plans for the game earlier this year (see “'Samurai Jack: Back to the Past' and 'Court of the Dead: Mourners Call'”). Court of the Dead: Mourners Call is a competitive board game with cooperative elements, where players must balance the good of all against their own ulterior motive. The goal is to unite the “mourners” trapped in the Underworld, whose souls are harvested by celestials in a never-ending spiritual war, and lead them to freedom.

The box includes 1 game board, 48 guild figures, 1 Death figure, 1 Malavestros figure, 40 guild mover bases, 14 court cards, 27 mourner cards, 36 wallows cards, 12 objective cards, 4 reference cards, 4 player boards, 50 etherea pieces, 45 unity tokens, 12 faction tokens, 1 Dreadsbane token, 24 wooden trackers, 14 tracker pieces, 4 dice, and rules. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 60 – 90 minutes. MSRP is $100.00.

The game is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter and passed it’s $75,000 goal in 6 hours. It has currently raised more than $151,000 from more than 1,600 backers, with 22 days to go.  There is a retailer backer level for 6 or 12 copies of the game which requires a $100 deposit. Retail backers will receive all Stretch Goals and Kickstarter Exclusives with their copies (currently including a 5th player expansion, and metal tokens).
