Dynamite Entertainment will release a hardcover collection inspired by Fruit Ninja, the immensely popular all-ages mobile game. Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride is a younger readers thrill ride from writer Nathan Cosby (Cow Boy, Buddy Cops) and artist Scott O. Brown (Nightfall). Packed with time-travelling supervillains, flying hippos, and buttercream-based weaponry, the 80-page hardcover will be in stores on June 13 for an MSRP of $12.99.
Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride is inspired by the Fruit Ninja mobile games, which have accumulated more than a billion downloads since Halfbrick launched the first game in 2010. The hot franchise has inspired three tabletop games from Lucky Duck Games, which are also scheduled to hit shelves this summer (see “'Fruit Ninja Tabletop Game Series'”).
