Z-Man Games will release Diamante a new expansion for the tile placement game Cacao in Q3.
Designed by Phil Walker-Harding (Sushi Go!, Imhotep, Cacao), this expansion leads tribes into the jungle to collect something almost as valuable is cacao – gold and gems. The expansion includes four modules, giving players many options to customize gameplay. As tribe leaders, players now send their workers into the jungle and into the gem mines. Workers can unearth valuable gems from a 3D mining cart, and if they gather gems in all four colors, they can be exchanged for a gold and gemstone-encrusted mask. Workers may discover the Tree of Life and reap the rewards, or players can influence the Emperor to gain his favor. The new Worker Tiles mean players can customize their plans with new workers.
The box includes 32 gems, 16 worker tiles, 8 jungle tiles, 7 mask tiles, 1 mine cart, 1 wooden emperor, and a rulebook. As an expansion, it requires the base game to play (see "'Cacao' and 'Sylvion'"). The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 60 minutes.
This game can also be combined with Cacao’s other expansion Chocalatl for an even bigger variant game. MSRP is $19.99.
