Director M. Night Shyamalan Tweeted a teaser poster for his upcoming film Glass, which brings together his super powered characters from Split and Unbreakable.
The filmmaker previously stated on Twitter that he and the cast will be appearing at San Diego Comic-Con panel on July 20, so stars Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy will be there.
Unbreakable was a thriller film released in 2000, with Shyamalan’s signature “twist” being that events were orchestrated by the antagonist, an art gallery owner, who fancied himself a supervillain, deducing he must have a heroic protagonist with which to battle, and enacting mayhem and death to find his unbreakable counterpart.
Split was a 2016 psychological horror film that follows the mental breakdown of Kevin, troubled man with 23 personalities, who kidnaps teenage girls. When his darkest personality takes control, it eventually manifests superpowers and flees, and in the final scenes is revealed to be inhabiting the same universe as the characters from Unbreakable, who cameo in the final moments of the film.
The film opens in theaters on January 18.
