Spanish game publisher Corvus Belli will be showing off two new projects at Gen Con next month:  the Operation Coldfront starter set for Infinity and the Human Fate expansion for Aristeia!  Both titles will see release into trade later this year.

Operation Coldfront will be the third boxed set for the Infinity tabletop miniatures game, focused on the conflict between the Tartary Army Corps of Ariadna and the OperationS OSS of ALEPH.  Designed as a starting point for two players, it includes everything needed to play the game, starting with 14 unpainted metal miniatures, a pack of game scenery, a playmat, templates, markers, a ruler, and 6 custom dice, 3 for each faction.  Rounding out the set is an introductory booklet with background information and a series of 5 tutorial missions designed to teach the core mechanics of the game.  MSRP will be around $105.00.

In August, Corvus Belli will retire one of the factions of the Infinity game, winding down production of those miniatures (see “Merovingia Faction Retires From ‘Infinity’”).

Human Fate will be the third expansion for the futuristic blood sport board game Aristeia!  Like the earlier expansions in the series (see “ ‘Aristeia!’  Expansion Introduces New Battle Options”), Human Fate introduces four new “aristos” that players can add to their teams while also adding new game mechanics and abilities to the game.  All four new characters in this expansion are female, a decision which the company’s Marketing Director Belen Moreno explained in a press release, saying, “In our continued acknowledgement of women in gaming, we felt that it was imperative that we add more female aristos to the great game of Aristeia!”  In addition, two new abilities are added to the game, and the rules for poison have been modified.

The set comes with 4 pre-assembled unpainted miniatures, tokens, and four sets of 27 cards in Spanish, English, German, and French.  MSRP will be around $35.00.
