The fearsome and fur-covered denizens of Kashyyyk will join the forces of the Rebel Alliance when Fantasy Flight Games releases the Wookiee Warriors Unit Expansion and Chewbacca Operative Expansion for its Star Wars: Legion tabletop miniatures game in Q4.
The Chewbacca Operative Expansion brings Han Solo’s loyal pal to the game. Chewbacca can join forces with any of the three Rebel heroes, and is one of the most powerful melee characters in the game. His bowcaster also provides a powerful ranged attack, and thanks to his three command cards he can coordinate closely with Han, Luke, or Leia.
This expansion set comes with a single unpainted and unassembled miniatures, three command cards, three upgrade cards, and the tokens needed to use Chewbacca in the game. MSRP is $12.95.
Though large and imposing, Wookiees are normally a peaceful people, but their oppression under the Galactic Empire has led them to rise up and join the Rebellion. Now Rebel commanders can field these fearsome fighters as a special forces unit. Armed with Ryyk blades and Kashyyyk pistols, they are masters of close combat, and can be reinforced by a heavy weapons expert armed with the powerful bowcaster. Meanwhile their natural traits allow them to clamber over or through difficult terrain easily, allowing them to bring the battle to their foes quickly.

The forces of the Dark Side get a powerful reinforcement in Q4 as well, when the Emperor himself joins the battle (see “Emperor Palpatine Descends on ‘Star Wars: Legion’”).
