The battles in Corvus Belli’s tabletop miniatures game Infinity are expanding with the release of the Third Offensive sourcebook, shipping in late November.  The company has also announced that it is discontinuing production of models for the Shock Army of Acontecimento faction.

The Third Offensive sourcebook expands on the game’s background story, including new information about the history of the Infinity universe and the on-going battle for the planet Paradiso.  In addition to the background, the book also introduces rules for two new “sectorials:” the Invincible Army of Yu Jing and the Varuna Intervention Division of PanOceania, along with rules for the two sectorials that were included in the Operation Coldfront starter set, the Tartary Army Corps of Ariadna and the Operations Subsection of Aleph (see “New ‘Infinity’ Starter Set; ‘Aristeia!’ Expansion”).

Corvus Belli plans to discontinue production of the Shock Army of Aconticimento, part of its program to optimize the line as the game’s storyline evolves (see “Merovingia Faction Retires From ‘Infinity’”).  Like the earlier retirement of the Merovingia faction, players can still use Shock Army units and models, and those units will still be included in the Infinity Army App that players can use to build their armies in the game.  A farewell for the faction is included in the Third Offensive book, with a series of missions that allow players to recreate the events leading up to the faction’s disappearance.

Rounding out the volume will be new equipment options plus updated and modified rules and profiles for the Morat Aggression Force of the Combined Army, the Military Orders of PanOceania, and the Shock Army of Acontecimento from PanOceania.  The MSRP for Third Offensive is $53.99.

Corvus Belli is promoting the new release with a pre-order offer.  Each copy of Third Offensive pre-ordered will come with an exclusive, limited edition Freedom Fighter miniature.
