Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin’s Barrier will be getting an unconventional slipcase set in March. The creators don’t intend the series to be collected into one volume, so the Barrier Limited Edition Slipcase set includes first printings of all five issues in the series. The slipcase will also be available empty for those who already have the issues. Both will be on sale March 27. MSRP for the set is $29.99, and MSRP for the empty case is $10.

Barrier is a bilingual comic with English and Spanish dialogue that brings a science fiction element to the issues faced by those living near the U.S. - Mexico border. It originally ran on Vaughan’s Panel Syndicate and was nominated for an Eisner for best digital comic (see “The 2018 Eisner Award Nominees”). Image published the print edition earlier this year in a deluxe landscape format featuring cardstock covers (see “Brian K. Vaughan Crosses the 'Barrier'”).
