Gale Force Nine (GF9) will open a new office in Orange County, CA dedicated to handling the publisher’s licensed portfolio. The office is expected to open in January.
The staff will be focused solely on the publisher’s extensive licensed hobby and game products line, which includes Dungeons & Dragons, Star Trek, Firefly, Doctor Who, Aliens, and most recently, Dune (see "Exclusive: Frank Herbert's 'Dune' Comes to Tabletop"). While some existing team members will be relocating to the new office, the company is also looking to hire a Licensing Projects Manager, a Licensing Marketing Coordinator, and a Licensing Graphic Designer.
Gale Force Nine is owned by Battlefront Miniatures Ltd. General Manager John Kovaleski, who founded the company in 1998, recently left the company to pursue other interests (see "Kovaleski Leaving Gale Force Nine").
