In Talisman: Batman Super-Villains Edition, players assume the mantle of famous villains from the Batman comic book. The villains seek to break out of Arkham Asylum, working their way through two floors and into the central tower as they try to build up their health, strength, and cunning through a series of encounters. The villain that can subdue Batman in the tower will release all the villains in Arkham and earn the title King or Queen of the criminal underworld.
The game is built on the Talisman board game system, used under license from Games Workshop, part of a multi-game deal between the two companies (see “Licensed ‘Talisman’ Games Coming from USAopoly”). This will be the second game in the line, following the King Hearts Edition, announced last month (see “‘Talisman: Kingdom Hearts Edition’”).
Talisman: Batman Super-Villains Edition will include a game board featuring illustrations drawn from the “New 52” era, 13 plastic character figures, over 100 cards, dice, and stat boards for each character. The game will be suitable for 2 to 6 players, ages 13 and up, and will include both competitive and cooperative modes. MSRP has not been announced.
