Valiant Entertainment will release the Bloodshot Classic Omnibus on September 25, building its library of in-print Bloodshot material ahead of the February 2020 premiere of the Vin Diesel feature film (see "’Bloodshot’").
The 864-page collection will feature the original 1993 Bloodshot series, the character’s debut in Eternal Warriors, as well as appearances in Rai, Secret Weapons, and H.A.R.D. Corps. Bloodshot was written by Kevin VanHook, with art by Don Perlin, Mike Vosburg, and John Dixon. The Omnibus features a cover by Barry Windsor-Smith.
Bloodshot tells the story of Angelo Mortalli, a former mob enforcer turned federal witness who is subjected to “Project Rising Spirit.” With his memories erased and his body enhanced by microscopic nanites, Bloodshot becomes the ultimate killing machine.
The announcement of the Omnibus comes after Valiant Comics revealed a new Bloodshot ongoing series by Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash, Nightwing) and Brett Booth (see "Valiant Announces New ‘Bloodshot’ Ongoing by Seeley and Booth").
The Bloodshot Classic Omnibus will carry an MSRP of $99.99.
