Games Workshop is expanding its skirmish-scale Necromunda game with a new book entitled The Book of Peril and a set of Badzones Environments & Events Cards, both releasing on June 1.
The Book of Peril provides rules and guidelines for fighting battles in the "Badzones," wasteland areas far from the established settlements of the underhive. The book describes six new environments to fight over, each with their own events, as well as rules for using Games Workshop’s Sector Mechanicus, Sector Imperialis, and Death World scenery kits in the game. Also included are rules for players who want to attach their gang to a Badzone guild, Venator gangs composed entirely of hired killers, new weapons and wargear available from the Badzone Trading Post, and new scenarios.
The book will be a 96-page hardcover volume. MSRP is $35.00.
To support the new playing options, the company is also offering the Badzones Environments & Events Cards. This deck of 26 cards includes summaries of the new rules described in The Book of Peril, with 6 cards describing the new environments and 20 Event cards. MSRP is $15.00.
Games Workshop updated the Necromunda game late last year (see "‘Necromunda Rulebook’ and ‘Gangs of the Underhive’"), earning a nomination for the 2019 Origins Awards (see "Origins Award Nominees").
