Haba will release its family-friendly hiking game Mountains in the U.S. and Canada on August 1.|

Designed by Carlo A. Rossi (Hab & Gut, Divinity Derby), Mountains is a game about day-hiking in the mountains.  The goal is to collect the most "summit stamps" in your book, using the rubber stamp and inkpad included in the game.  To reach a summit, a player needs a specific combination of equipment, such as pocketknives, tents, and cooking tools.  If a player does not have everything they need, they can try to ask the other hikers to lend them what’s missing.  It also features a memory element.

The game ends when enough of the summits have been reached, at which point the player who has the most stamps in their book wins the game.

Mountains was designed for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up.  The game comes with 1 mountain board, 5 summit books with a pad of stamp pages, 1 summit stamp with inkpad, 94 cards, 80 plastic stones, and a cloth bag.  MSRP is $39.99.

Another Haba game, Tal der Wikinger, was recently honored with a nomination for the coveted Kinderspiel des Jahres ("Children's Game of the Year") award in Germany (see "‘Spiel des Jahres’ Jury Announces 2019 Nominees").

The company recently added a new Games Channel Manager, Tiffany Claires, to its U.S. team (see "Renegade and Haba Add Managerial Staff").
