DC Comics has announced the October 30, 2019 release of Powers: The Best Ever hardcover (MSRP $24.99), a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Eisner Award-winning, superhero-infused, neo-noir, crime comic, Powers by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.  Bendis and Oeming have reunited for Powers: The Best Ever, which will incorporate remastered pages from Powers (2015) #7 and #8, and will function as a celebration of the series’ entire run, including a look back at the cult classic TV show, plus an exclusive look at the third season that never was, and a series-spanning interview with Bendis.

The new volume will feature a wrap-around cover by Oeming [art added to this article June 24, replacing placeholder art].

The new Powers hardcover is just the most recent example of DC publishing Bendis’ creator-owned material, which began shortly after Bendis signed exclusively with DC in late 2017 (see “Marvel’s Top Writer Signs With DC”).  Last summer DC announced four collections from the Bendis catalog including a 464-page collection of the Powers comics (see “More Brian Michael Bendis Jinxworld Coming From DC”).

Powers: The Best Ever is a 208-page hardcover collection.  DC will release Powers: The Best Ever on October 30, while Penguin Random House will distribute the hardcover to the book trade starting on November 5.
