Chaosium Inc. is teaming up with Critical Role for a Call of Cthulhu adventure on July 29 as the company prepares to release the new Call of Cthulhu sourcebook Berlin:  The Wicked City in July.

Critical Role, known for its weekly streaming show featuring voice actors playing role playing games, will host a one-shot Call of Cthulhu adventure run by Taliesin Jaffe and set in London during the 1890s.  The episode will feature Travis Willingham, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Ashly Burch, Phil Lamarr, and Erika Ishii acting as Investigators.  The episode will be broadcast on Twitch on July 29 and on YouTube on July 31.

Meanwhile, Chaosium will release Berlin:  The Wicked City in late July.  This 272-page hardcover sourcebook for the Call of Cthulhu role playing game explores the horror of the Mythos during the Weimar period in Germany with a focus on the decadent and drug-riddled city of Berlin during the 1920s and the run-up to Hitler’s takeover of the country.  The book describes the occult underground of the city, notable personalities and locations for players to explore, and three complete scenarios set in Berlin.

Due to the book’s mature themes and depictions of drug use and sex, Chaosium is recommending this book for mature readers.  Berlin:  The Wicked City was written by David Larkins, Mike Mason, and Lynne Hardy and features cover art by Loic Muzy.  MSRP will be $35.99 [per late comment by Chaosium--ed.].
