“GameFor offers a unique and easy-to-use tool for finding local gaming events at FLGS, and we’re excited to partner with the GameFor team to bring greater awareness to our Pop-Up Gen Con pilot program this year by featuring our events on their platform,” according to Gen Con spokesperson Jackie Miserany.

Will Reach 35,000 App Users

GameFor will help direct its app user-base to Friendly Local Game Stores (FLGS) for Gen Con Pop-Up events (see “‘Pop-Up Gen Con’ Brings Convention to FLGS”). The GameFor App, an online platform that connects gamers with stores (see “New App Connects Gamers to In-Store Events”), will point gamers to 40 selected stores where they will be able to play pre-release copies of featured games provided by Alliance Game Distributors in partnership with Gen Con LLC. For the first year of the promotion, GameFor app will have visual call-outs for game event listings to help gamers find the events easier. These host stores will benefit from the online app presence and being able to provide a small sampling of the games premiering at Gen Con.
