Valiant Entertainment has hired Kat O’Neill, formerly General Manager for the two New York City JHU Comic Books stores, as Live Events & Sales Manager, the company announced. The JHU Comic Books stores, in Manhattan and Staten Island, are two of the longest-running comic stores in the country. Now owned by Managing Directors Ron Hill and Nick Purpura, the stores were founded by the legendary Jim Hanley.
Valiant seems to like the pipeline. Earlier this year it hired Dani Ward, another former JHU Comic Books manager, as Sales Manager (see "Valiant Hires Sales Manager").
The new position incorporates both working with retailers across the country and coordinating Valiant’s events worldwide.
