Games Workshop announced War in Rohan, a new sourcebook for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, at the NOVA Open tabletop wargaming convention in Washington, DC on August 29, along with new model kits to support it.

War in Rohan is a new hardcover supplement book that focuses on the battles fought in the Riddermark between the forces of Isengard and the Rohirrim, such as the iconic battle of Helm’s Deep depicted in the film The Lord of the RIngs:  The Two Towers.

In addition to the new sourcebook, a series of modular Rohan terrain kits that players can use to design and build their own settlements and battlefields will be launched.

Rounding out the new releases are plastic model versions of the villains of Isengard, the Wizard Saruman the White (in mounted and foot versions) and the diplomat Grima Wormtongue.
