Global pop culture event producing powerhouse ReedPOP and videogame company Mojang will partner to launch the inaugural Minecraft Festival on September 25-27, 2020 at Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The festival will be a three-day celebration of all things Minecraft, the best-selling video game that has sold over 176 million copies worldwide. This first event will feature interactive exhibits, competitive tournaments, live entertainment, exclusive merchandise, and panels.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Mojang to put together the first-ever Minecraft Festival and to add the Festival to our ever-growing family of pop culture events,” said Lance Fensterman, Global President of ReedPOP.
Minecraft Festival will be yet another feather added to ReedPOP's ever-growing cap of conventions that already includes New York Comic Con, the PAX conventions, C2E2, Emerald City Comic Con, and Star Wars Celebration. Earlier this year, ReedPOP also announced the acquisition of Florida Supercon (see "ReedPOP is on the Move with New Acquisitions and Partnerships").
