Sony Pictures Entertainment released the first trailer for the long-anticipated Bloodshot movie, based on the popular Valiant Entertainment comic book series of the same title, which is set to release on February 21.

Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier that was killed in action, but then brought back to life by the RST corporation. He becomes the mercenary Bloodshot, a warrior armed with nanotechnology that allows him to heal wounds almost instantly. To keep him in check, the RST corporation puts certain controls on his mind and his memory, but Bloodshot breaks free of their control and is on mission to figure out what is real and what is planted in his head.

The new Blooshot movie is directed by Dave Wilson, and co-stars Eiza Gonzalez, Toby Kebbel, and Sam Heughan alongside Vin Diesel. The trailer announcement also confirmed that Guy Pearce does in fact have a role in this movie, but no further information about his character was revealed at this time.

ICv2 recently sat down with Dinesh Shamdasani and Hunter Gorinson at New York Comic Con to discuss Hivemind's involvement in the Bloodshot movie (see "ICv2 Interview: Hivemind's Dinesh Shamdasani and Hunter Gorinson").
