Mattel and Funko, Inc. both revealed new merch based on The Child, otherwise known as "Baby Yoda," from the hit The Mandolorian TV Show. The Mandalorian started streaming in November with the launch of Disney+ (see "New 'The Mandalorian' Trailer").

The Child is small, green, and looks like an adorable cross between an older member of Yoda's species and Gizmo from the Gremlins movies. Jon Favreau and his team had kept a tight lid on The Child's existence, along with all the merch to be released in its name(see " Baby Yoda Holiday Merch Kept Secret"), but now, the "Baby Yoda is out of the bag" and the merch is being announced in a steady stream.

Mattel will be releasing the most obvious item, an 11-inch plush doll. Kids can now embrace the cuteness of the 50-year-old version of this long-living Yoda species for a retail price of $24.99, and these plush dolls come two units to a case.

Funko, Inc. will release new figures for The Child through their Pop! Star Wars: The Mandalorian line (see "'Pop! Star Wars: The Mandalorian' Hunts in the Retail Sector"). There will be one 10-inch figure that retails for $38.99, and a standard Pop! size vinyl figure for $10.99.
