Image Comics will release a special limited edition of Mark Millar and Matteo Scalera’s Space Bandits graphic novel for Independent Bookstore Day 2020, the company announced.  The special edition, which collects Space Bandits #1-5, will feature a cover by Travis Charest.  The print run of 1,250 copies is available for participating bookstores to sell in their brick and mortar stores only on Independent Bookstore Day.

Independent Bookstore Day is an annual event organized by the American Booksellers Association on the last Saturday in April.  In addition to author appearances and other special activities, there are exclusive books and literary items that are only sold on that day.

The original comic series was launched last July with promotionally priced "Legends" variant cover editions (see "Mark Millar and Netflix Go To Space with ‘Space Bandits’").  The regular edition of the graphic novel will be released this month.
