Wizards of the Coast has partnered with the Toho Corporation for a series of cards featuring the Godzilla monsters in the next Magic: The Gathering set, Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, and has revealed the full contents of the Collector Boosters for the set.

Nineteen Godzilla Series Monster cards will be produced, all but one a Godzilla monster-themed version of a card in the set, chosen for the best “flavor fit’ with the Godzilla monster, according to the announcement. The Buy-a-Box card only exists in its Godzilla Series Monster form. Sixteen of the 19 will be available in the U.S., while three are reserved for the Japanese series.  The cards will be tournament-legal, played in the same way as their non-Godzilla analogue. Here's the list of cards:

  • Rodan, Titan of Winged Fury
  • Spacegodzilla, Void Invader
  • Crystalline Giant – Japanese only
  • Dirge Bat – Japanese only
  • Mothra’s Great Cocoon – Japanese only

Godzilla Series Monster cards will be available in both the Draft Booster Displays and the Collector Booster Displays. 

One Godzilla Series Monster card is guaranteed in every Collector Booster.  Fifteen cards will be included as Foil chance cards in the core series, plus one non-foil Buy-a-Box card. The full contents list for the Collector Booster follows:

  • 4 Foil commons or common dual lands
  • 2 Foil uncommons
  • 1 Foil basic land
  • 1 Ikoria Commander card (any rarity)
  • 1 Extended-art rare or mythic rare (43 rares, 7 mythic rares)
  • 1 Foil rare or mythic rare, or foil extended-art rare or mythic rare
  • 2 Showcase mutate commons or uncommons (5 common, 15 uncommon)
  • 1 Showcase rare or mythic rare (10 rares, 8 mythic rares)
  • 1 Foil showcase card (any rarity)
  • 1 Godzilla Series Monster card (could be foil or non-foil; the Buy-a-Box mythic rare is only available in non-foil)
  • 1 Foil token

Draft Booster Displays will include one of 15 Godzilla foil box toppers (see “’Magic: The Gathering Ikoria’ Will Feature Box Toppers”), plus a Buy-a-Box Godzilla card.
