Comic writer/artist Rob Liefeld is auctioning sketches for comic store relief, linking a store to each sketch and sending them the money directly.  The art is first shown on Liefeld’s Instagram account, and the auction takes place on eBay.  As of yesterday, the campaign had raised $24,000 for comic stores, which are now largely closed across North America due to the coronavirus crisis.

Pictured here, the current sketch, “Cable with Big Gun,” is #10 in the series; the auction, linked here, wraps up Saturday night.

DC CCO and Publisher Jim Lee has committed to producing 60 sketches for auction to support Binc relief for comic stores in tandem with a $250K donation by DC (see “DC Donates $250K, Jim Lee Donating Art to Help Comic Retailers”).

The efforts by these two original Image partners and long-time supporters of the Direct Market are laudable.
