Trans-Siberian Railroad is railroad game that was originally released as one of three titles in Winsome Games' 2015 Essen Set. It takes place in the 1800's where the Russian government has organized a project to build a railroad connecting Moscow to Vladivostok. Players attempt to buy shares of the railroads and make themselves rich all while trying not to lose control of their rails to the Tsar. This game is for three to five players, plays in 45 to 90 minutes, and will retail for $39.95.
Blue Skies is an economic game from the designers of Caravan and Burger Joint (see "'Caravan' and 'Butterfly'"). This game is set in 1979 where the government has deregulated the airline industry. Players represent new airlines who are trying to set up business in thirty airports in thirty cities. To fill their planes, they draw cubes from a bag and redistribute passengers between four different gates at each airport to make sure they are dispersed as evenly as possible throughout. Blue Skies is for two to five players, plays in 30 to 60 minutes, and will have a MSRP of $39.95.
