Z2 Comics will release a graphic novel adaptation of The Doors’ Morrison Hotel album, some 50 years after its release on vinyl, on October 13. Formatted as an anthology, the 144 pages of story will be written by Leah Moore, daughter of Alan Moore, in collaboration with the surviving members of the band and artists from around the comic book world.
Z2 also plans a hardback limited edition of 5,000 with a 12" picture disc of the album and three art prints for sale direct-to-consumer through its website and The Doors website.
Z2 also recently announced graphic novels tied to the Charlie Parker (see "’Chasin’ the Bird") and Gorillaz (see "’Gorillaz Almanac’").
