This is the highest price ever realized for any copy of Detective Comics #27, surpassing the sale of a CGC 8.0 graded copy for $1.07 million back in 2010 (see ""Bats Beats Supes"). At $1.5 million, this copy of Detective Comics #27 now ranks as one of the highest realized prices for a collectible comic book. It joins the company of Action Comics #1 (three copies at over $2 million, at least one other at $1+ million (see "'Action Comics' #1 CGC 8.5 Sells for Record Sum"), and passes an Amazing Fantasy #15 which sold for $1.1 million in 2011 (see "'Amazing Fantasy' #15 sells for $1.1 Million").
