Negotiations to Extend the License Break Down; Due to Expire December 31

Ares Games announced that it will be ending its licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development for Battlestar Galactica-branded games, which lasted a little under two years (see "'Battlestar Galactica' Space Battles Return to Earth"), on December 31. Under this license, Ares produced the Battlestar Galactica – Starship Battles (see "First Details on 'Battlestar Galactica - Starship Battles'") game as well as its expansions (see "Ares Launches New 'Battlestar Galactica' Ships"). The license was cancelled after negotiations to extend it further broke down.
