The comics publisher Z2’s latest music-themed graphic novel is about one of the greats: Freddie Mercury. Written by Tres Dean, Freddie Mercury: Lover of Life, Singer of Songs was inspired by the biography Freddie Mercury: A Life, in His Own Words. Interior artists for the project are Kyla Smith, Robin Richardson, Safiya Zerrougui, Tammy Wang, and Amy Liu; David Mack did the cover painting. 

The standard edition of the 136-page graphic novel will be available in November 2021 with a MSRP of $19.99 for the paperback and $29.99 for the hardcover. In addition, Z2 will offer a deluxe slipcased edition, available only through its website, that comes bundled with three prints and an exclusive magenta vinyl LP of the solo compilation Never Boring,for $99.99.
