The newest addition to the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing campaign will be a limited series from Marvel, titled Star Wars: The High Republic: Trail of Shadows, scripted by Daniel Jose Older (who also writes Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures for IDW Publishing) with art by David Wachter. The series will launch in October, and the first issue will have a cover by David Lopez and a variant cover by Ario Anindito and Rachelle Rosenberg.
Star Wars: The High Republic: Trail of Shadows is a noir-style mystery set after the Republic Fair and will introduce two new characters, Sian Holt and Jedi Emerick Caphtor, the detectives who have been assigned to track down the source of a potential new threat to the Republic. The story will tie into other titles in the High Republic program, including The Rising Storm, the upcoming prose novel by Cavan Scott, who also writes the ongoing Star Wars: The High Republicseries for Marvel.
Star Wars: The High Republic is a publishing campaign that includes comics, children’s books and prose novels, all set during the Golden Age of the Jedi Order, 200 years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (see “‘Star Wars: The High Republic’ Publishing Campaign Coming in 2020”).
