Ten Speed Press is gearing up for a new George R.R. Martin graphic novel: Voyaging: Volume One: The Plague Star is the first volume of a planned adaptation of Martin’s short story collection Tuf Voyaging, which is set in his sci-fi universe The Thousand Worlds. Raya Golden will adapt and illustrate the story, which follows a motley group of space adventurers in search of intergalactic gold and glory. On Facebook, Golden says the book will be released in 2023.
Golden’s adaptation of another Martin book, The Meathouse Man, was nominated for a Hugo Award in 2014 (see “‘Time’ Beats ‘Saga’ and Other Hugo Awards”). She also adapted his television script Starport into a graphic novel, published by Ballantine in 2019.
