Board and Dice will release Zapotec, a resource management board game designed by Fabio Lopiano, into retail in June 2022.

In Zapotec, players construct temples, cornfields, and villages in the three valleys found in pre-Columbian Oaxaca. The buildings create resources for players to expand their valleys to include pyramids that allow them to make sacrifices and perform rituals. Each round players play cards and spend resources to in order to build up their territory the best they can. After five rounds, players score points for pyramids, ritual cards, and their position on the Sacrifice Track, and the player with the most points wins.

This game is for one to four players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 60 to 75 minutes. As of the publication of this article, no MSRP has been revealed.

Fabio Lopiano also designed Ragusa, which was released by Capstone Games (see "'Ragusa'").
