DC will release a new box set in March 2022 that will feature three classic Batman graphic novels: Batman: The Long Halloween, by writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale; Batman: Ego and Other Tails, by Darwyn Cooke and artists Tim Sale and Bill Wray, and Batman: Year One, by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. These are the three stories that director Matt Reeves has cited as the biggest influences on the upcoming feature film The Batman (see “‘The Batman’ Casting Update”), which is scheduled to be released on March 4, 2022. The three graphic novels will be softcovers, and the slipcase will feature art by Jim Lee. The box set will go on sale on March 1, 2022, with an MSRP of $63.00.
