In Dog Lover, players begin the game with a dog card and simulate taking care of that dog by playing various cards. The players take turns fetching cards, collecting bones, and gathering food all for their loveable pooch. They can also rescue dogs from the shelter, train their puppies to do new tricks, and attach unique traits. The player that accumulates the most victory points by fulfilling their dog's needs, adding traits, and training by the end of the game wins.
The game box comes with 122 Game cards, 60 Food cubes, 16 Dog Trick cards, 15 Rescue Shelter cards, a Watch Dog token, a score pad, and a rulebook. This game is for two to four players, ages 10 and up, and will play in 30 minutes. It will retail for $24.99.
AEG recently released TEN, a new push-your-luck card sequencing game, on August 20 (see "'TEN'").
